There is a $25 per person fee due prior to the first week of the league, payable electronically.

Once accepted into league, you will be notified to submit payment.

Skill Level:  Beginners

DAY:     Tue, Wed, Thu  

TIME:    11:00a - 12:30p

DATES:  February 24.25.26

LIMIT:    16 players

COST:  $15/person

This 3-day, 1-½ hours per day, session gives players a broad introduction to the game of pickleball. Intro to the court, court positioning, safety, ready position, moving forward to the NVZ, intro to the soft touch, intro to various shots used in the game.

Beginning Pickleball

3.5+  Skills & Drills

These 1-½ hour sessions, one day per week, are held for 6 weeks, for players 3.5 and above. This session gives participants the opportunity to practice and improve on various shots and skills with like-skilled players. Must have skill level of 3.5 or better (see box below).

A Round Robin play is planned for the final day.

Definition of 3.5+ Player

Demonstrates broad knowledge of the rules of the game. Gets a high majority of serves in and deep and returns serve deep. Often hits to the weak side of opponent. Demonstrates strategies of play during game. Actively works with partners in communicating, covering court, moving to the net. With varying consistency executes lobs, forehand/backhand ground strokes, overheads, net volleys, and sustained dinking. Some use of drop shots to get to the net. Specifically places shots rather than just hitting shots anywhere. Selective mixing up soft shots with power shots to create an advantage. Hits fewer balls out of bounds or in the net.. Has a moderate number of unforced errors per game. Demonstrates ability to intentionally play in offensive mode. Self-correcting after play is over. Demonstrates extended periods of multi-dimensional play.
